TULLAMORE WATER SUPPLY SCHEME

Meehan Drilling Ltd was awarded the Tullamore water supply scheme which involved two phases of works:

Phase 1 - Investigation of the condition of eight existing boreholes, geo-physical logging, well development and test pumping of two abstraction boreholes. The works included removal of pumping equipment, airlifting, educator tests, fishing operations, IN-SITU Testing (pump testing), water quality samples, disinfection, geo-physical surveying, reinstatement of pumping equipment and factual reporting on boreholes at Ardan and Clonaslee.

Phase 2 – The work scope included drilling, installation geo-physical logging, well development and test pumping of pilot/production wells at Clonaslee and at Ardan. At Clonaslee, we also carried out grouting and airlifting. A new production borehole was completed at Ardan, along with a secondary production well which was converted from an existing pilot borehole.

Meehan Drilling acted as PSCS (project supervisor construction stage) for the complete project as appointed under the framework.
